Inflatable helmets break cover

Forget about fibreglass and carbon-Kevlar helmet shell constructions; Italian firm Tucano Urbano Products has launched this advert for a new revolutionary inflatable helmet.

The helmet has 12 inflatable chambers that you fill with air using a valve at the back of the lid.

Patrizia Milani of Tucano Urbano said: “This advertisement is one of the TUPI campaign.

“We advertise also the practical folding Easy Parking mat that unrolls in just a few seconds and creates four handy bike parking spaces anywhere you like.

”We also have adverts for Tucasan Vista, the drug to take in case of poor visibility owing to the fog, and the Zelig bike cover that melts into the panorama.”

But, you know what.... Men and Motors recently had a US programme showing "wearable airbags" for bikers... or was that repeated from last 1 April?
