I do keep telling him that, but for some reason he doesn't believe me. Good riding (and fast riding) isn't all about the size of your chicken strips. Fancy a scoot to Hartside again mate ? I think we've got spare nappies and baby wipes ![]()

| Re: rather fast goldwing Goldwing actually the strips are down to about 3/4" after that last hartside run out if it wasn't for a major poop on a bend when I thought I felt the back end slide (nearly tripped up rerb when I stood it up ) the previous week, they mighta been even smaller!that said they're about the same as on the storm now so I reckon I've just about reached my limit. |

| Re: rather fast goldwing Goldwing I thought you got chicken strips from KFC or S**t-in-a-bun?? ![]() Don't know how wide mine are, can hardly see the back wheel there's so much bodywork around it. |

| Re: rather fast goldwing Goldwing Some call them chicken strips, I call them sensible strips. Besides, I bet most peeps just bang their bikes on the centrestand, 1st gear and sandpaper away. And similar to the knee sliders. I've lost count of the riders in full racing gear that I sail past after hitting the corner at the right speed whilst they are all accelerate/brake/accelerate/brake. |

| Re: rather fast goldwing Goldwing With the chicken strips they mean fook all, Don't even bother comparing except if it's like for like... The bandit's rear tyre is right to the edge..on both sides and beginning to burr over. On the other hand the Laverda, which handles about 100 times better has 3/4 inch of unused rubber on the rear tyre... yet my toes are scraping on the deck when I am hustling her on..... and I ain't pigeon toed it's all utter bollox for the weekend hero crowd ![]() |

| Re: rather fast goldwing Goldwing Maybe, but don't forget that the suspension has been set up for my weight by a Honda mechanic, and I've been riding continuously a lot longer than you have. You're doing a lot better than some do, considering you've only been back in the saddle 18 months or so. Plus ok, I'm fairly quick, but you don't see me taking daft chances like some we've seen out an about. |

anyway so he must have been caning it), almost on the offside grass verge. I expected to find him upside down in a ditch somewhere but no such luck.
