I've ridden the R1200GS, lovely piece of kit, handles like a dream. It sounds a bit agricultural when you first fire it up after the blackbird but once on the move it smooths out.

but i,m fuking sick of seeing the fuking things...
local b.m.w. dealer had a 'old bastard' day the other week and fer fuk,s sake ..... looked like summat outta 'upside down' or what ever that programme was ...
loads of old grunts with alli panniers , googles, and artic clothing riding along the VERY demanding A50 ( dual carriageway)...mind ya ..there was a right ol cafuffle when one of em blasted accross a cat,s eye .....WITHOUT A SAFETY NET !!
an i aint aving a go at b.m.w. they have made some cracking bikes over the years ...and thier marketing dept is second to none...
but 98% of the fukers on these bikes ride em to ...the gobi desert ?, accross africa ?, o.k. the sahara ? ....nope ! ....98% ride em on a SUNDAY...1.5% ride em to work...an 0.5% ride off road on occasion !
it may be jus me but ...what just is all the fuking fuss about ?
....
