Re: Not into MZ's? lookaway

thanks olls you are the kindest, actually you would like these, infinitely dismantleable, can you see the end of the bolt just behind the kickstart, engine pivots on it so does rear swing arm, undo that, take out the spindle and the lot comes apart. The only other thing that holds the engine in place is a rubber shock absorber behind/above the cylinder - its so the engine can judder away without affecting the h/bars.

Incidentally ta for help with ace bars - eventually another member came on and he is selling me some he hasn't used.

Re: Not into MZ's? lookaway

Looks very, very luverly. Do like the red forks to offset all that gorgeous black. It's a 251?

It'll look even better with the ace bars

It's almost enough to motivate me to sort my 251 - it's worst problem is the lack of 3rd but the power band is almost wide enough that 2nd to 4th works as long as you're on the flat...

Re: Not into MZ's? lookaway

nice!
what exhaust you running? changed mine for an rd aircooled silencer. still fits to down pipe a bit better torque if you could call it that and a doesn't stick out the back like standard.

Re: Not into MZ's? lookaway

Phil: can always rely on you for a bit of support, cheers - its a standard silencer at pres however would like to upgrade to one of those types you mention, have heard the odd voice of dissent re MOT but could always change back to get a ticket (did I just say that on a public site).

With SFC's ace bars (thanks for your post on that) and rear sets, which I'm going ahead with, it should be pretty much unrecognisable as an MZ - not that I'm ashamed of it you understand....
