1974 honda c 90 grey

I am going to buy a old c 90 (in january/feburary) but i have a big problem, insurance.

Due to my age (19) i am unable to get a classic policy.

Also the price comparsion sites don't go previous to 1976.

Bare in mind i am paying £140/year for my kawasaki z550 for insurance, the only place that so far that is able to insure me is carole nash. £361.

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get cheaper insurance for this bike? I am struggling badly with this one.

If you do find a place that does classic bike insurance for a 19 year old tell me straight away because i know they will be cheapest, classic policys are almost always cheaper than ordinary policies.

no they're not! i pay £84 fully comp for an 11 yo thundercat that produces 100 bhp. For the XS400 25 yo and 45 bhp i cant even get close to £100

phone you existing insurer and ask if you can add the c90 to your policy

I already phoned my current insurance company, they cannot insure the vehicle, because it is not on their system.

Bloody computer systems. Before they had them they would've insured it. Ask to speak to someone higher as most companies enter it manually if they can't find it on the system. You should be able to add it onto your policy.

I already asked the company, they will not insure me on that bike whatsoever.

I asked if there was anyway around it and they said no..
