Tax exemption

Hi guys

just got a hold of a honda cb750 off one of the guys at work,he has had it lying in his garage god knows how long. Its the old w reg its a big heavy mother 4 pots into 1 exhaust, just needs new battery and manifold seals, and a good clean. So this will be a good project for me to work on.Any tips on starting her up after lying for so many years. And could anyone tell me if its tax exempt.

Cheers

Re: Tax exemption

I posted the changes on the car tax in another area and you know what? I searched for ages to find changes on bike tax and all the links I followed just led back to the gov page with current prices

So budge up Sam ................. make some room on the bench for me and I'll wait with you for someone more brainy than us

Re: Tax exemption

have a look here http://www.dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/leaflets/inf34.pdf

it would seem that the 25 year thing has been scrapped and if the vehicle was built before 1973 it will be tax exempt ..its another government rip off

Re: Tax exemption

Yep, They brought the 25 year rolling thing in around 1995, it was one of Tony's first smiling feck the worker taxes, he scrapped it in 1998 to be pre 73.
If any one keeps a vehicle on the road for that long they love the thing, look after make sure it's in fine fettle.. What a WANKER
