| Tax exemption Hi guys just got a hold of a honda cb750 off one of the guys at work,he has had it lying in his garage god knows how long.Its the old w reg its a big heavy mother 4 pots into 1 exhaust,just needs new battery and manifold seals,and a good clean.So this will be a good project for me to work on.Any tips on starting her up after lying for so many years.And could anyone tell me if its tax exempt. | Re: Tax exemption dont quote me on this ,but it used to be 25 yo and older didnt pay tax, but that could all be changed now, someone who has more brains than me will be along soon ![]() .............................................Sam |

I searched for ages to find changes on bike tax and all the links I followed just led back to the gov page with current prices ![]() So budge up Sam ................. make some room on the bench for me and I'll wait with you for someone more brainy than us ![]() |

| Re: Tax exemption have a look here http://www.dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/leaflets/inf34.pdf it would seem that the 25 year thing has been scrapped and if the vehicle was built before 1973 it will be tax exempt ..its another government rip off ![]() ..........................Sam |

| Re: Tax exemption Yep, They brought the 25 year rolling thing in around 1995, it was one of Tony's first smiling feck the worker taxes, he scrapped it in 1998 to be pre 73. If any one keeps a vehicle on the road for that long they love the thing, look after make sure it's in fine fettle.. What a WANKER |
