It's a 5 mile walk approx 4 hours, my thinking bike meet early ride to the start point of the walk, quick change of gear (top boxes, etc a must) do the walk back down for dinner, change gear and nice ride back through the lakes. We Saw some mototcross and freestyle motocross it was amazing never seen anyone do a flip on a bike before :eek:

This will be a little run as most people will have a 50 to 100 mile run to get to the Cafe.. So the plan....


Meet at Kilmington Cafe 10 AM for a spot of breakfast and a catch up, then a run down to the seaside town of Lyme Regis for a wander around on the beach.. A small ride around the area and back to Kilmington Cafe to say our goodbyes :D

Accomodation - superb, ride to the border at Carter Bar was great and then across to Alnwick.

Rothbury to Alnwick - great arrow straight tarmac road.

Saw a procession? of Monkey bikes coming the other way.

Next time's a deffo.

Mind it did take 5hrs on Friday afternoon to get up there and 4 hours to get back. And I'd ridden to Swindon and back 1st on Friday morning.

Dens not gonna be on the back this time as she is working.

Im doin the same roads, so word of warning there are narrow single track mountain roads on route with 1in 4 hairpins on them..........so not for the faint hearted, and where the roads are good it will be at a progressive pace but within the legal requirements of the law.


Sunday is gonna be such a luverly day weather wise :) I have just plotted a little bimble to the seaside :) ala Aberystwatch via elan valley, and devils bridge :):):) and it wouldnt be the same if i didn't included some roads that i havent been along before :D:D:D so i have included some :D:D:D
