Re: Punctureseal

ive used slime as a get you home repair worked great, sez on the bottle that it can be left in tyre and does not damage carcass (unlike tyreweld) and tyre dealer had no probs repairing it,think puncture seal similar to slime, but i would treat all types of non professional repairs as a get u home fix

Re: Punctureseal

i may be wrong here but am of the opinion that any of the above ,if used ,should be replaced by a prof repair when ya back home..me personnally would not be happy with any tyre that had had a puncture or repair..
i dont go mad.but to be honest would say that just knowing that me tyre had been repaired would play on me mind during a ride....
but thats just me ..

Re: Punctureseal

I work in a place that has lots of wooden palletts in the yard, hence lots of screws/nails/tacks kicking about. After having to replace an almost new tyre cos of a puncture, I used "goop". I check the tyres pretty regularly, but one time after washing it, I noticed a nail through the rear, then another, then another. I know most people won't get this kind of problem, but to me the thought of doing, well lets say occasionally a little over the speed limit, with those in my tyre is a bit worrying. Now I just walk around the area of the yard I ride over and pick up any sharpies a couple of times a week., no punctures in the last 6 months! Wonder what would happen if you had a large nail in your tyre and were doing 150+ ( on a track of course ), would the tyre hold?????
