It's a fairly major job, and will almost certainly require more parts to complete than just the big-end bearing. Basically it'll go roughly like this...

Buy Haynes manual.
Buy gasket set.
Engine out.
Split crankcase.
Fit new big-end bearing.
Rebuild crankcase fitting new gaskets.
Refit engine in frame.
Swear lots when it won't start.
Swear lots more when you find the fault hasn't been cured after all.

Out of interest, why do you think it needs a new big-end bearing?

Re: cg125 big end bearing

firstly thanks a lot mate for replying
long story short,
got haynes manual
got a complete gasket set allready
rebuilt engine still got it apart rebored and honed

i know its the big end bearing because there is so much play in it you could move it from lands end to john o grots and when i spray with wd40 shards of metal come out which suggests roller bearings have fragmented

If Mr Haynes doesnt tell you how to do it, have you had a look at somewhere like Wemotot that would have an exploded parts diagram, that should give you a clue as to how to dismantle?

Or am I misunderstanding the problem?

Sounds like the engine is so fucked I'd just buy a new one if I were you.

Re: cg125 big end bearing

I've never had a cg125 in bits, so I don't know, but, don't you have to separate the flywheels and therefore need to true them when you put it back together?

Re: cg125 big end bearing

it'll be a pressed fit crank, so you'll need it split, fit new bearing/conrod then pressed back together.
