| morning, i have a gs 500 1998 model and it not runnin on 1 side, i 1st swaped plugs, caps and coils, still the same. then found out there was no compression on 1 side, so then stripped engine down, replaced rings both sides head gasket and barrel gasket, we also turned head upside down and poured petrol on to check vales aren't stuck open, nothing so we think there ok, put back together still no compression on same side as before. can any tell me the next thing to try?? jamie |

| Re: no compression on 1 side after all that,you MUST have compression,i take it you checked barrel and piston tolerances,and gave the barrel a quick hone before reassembly,how did you check your compression ![]() |

| Re: no compression on 1 side can't help but notice that the majority of new members that introduce themselves with a problem (ie with their friggin hand out wanting help) don't even bother to acknowlege the replies, let alone contribute to the forum ![]() and that's not aimed specifically at bigginge, he may have a perfectly valid reason ![]() |

| i've only been past my test 3 months, don't sign up b4 as i didn't think you proper bikers would want to hear boring tails of work and back on a 125 rev and go, but i will be putting a input from now on. ![]() |
