Brake bleeding, a handy tip. Sometimes getting the last bit of air out of the brake fluid can be difficult. I have found if you pump the brake lever until there is some brakes available and wind a bungee around the twist grip and brake lever to keep pressure in the brake lines and leave the bungee for for 24/48 hours any sponginess is cured.

Re: Brake bleeding, a handy tip. Good one, before you pin the lever back, pull it in a few times as hard as you can but let it flick back out with a twang. This helps to dislodge any tiny bubbles that can be a pain to get rid of.

Re: Brake bleeding, a handy tip. If you have time, it is worth popping out to your bikee every few hour and tapping the system. Start at the bottom and work your way up the hose. This helps dislodge the stubbern little bubbles. SteveT

Re: Brake bleeding, a handy tip. Sorted out all of my brakes yesterday, altho I have a vacuum assisted automotive bleed tool so its a bit easy, you just set it off and keep an eye on the fluid, once all the air has gone you cut off the vacuum and jobs done ![]()

Re: Brake bleeding, a handy tip. i use a large syringe with a length of rubber tube to suck (STOP SNIGGERING AT THE BACK) the brake fluid through, as a cheaper alternative
