Cleaning your tank

Well my fuel warning light did not come on (connector had come appart!) and I ran out of fuel

Thankfully I was close to home but she is not running smoothly now so I guess I am in for an evening of carb cleaning but I have never cleaned a tank before.

Appart from the obvious safety issues (dont smoke, wear eye protection, dont lick the tank etc) what is the best and cheapest way to clean a tank?

Tank off and swill like fury with petrol?

After the carb clean go for the big swill Shamb, prolly best to remove the petrol tap and clean the filters that are attached to it.

Good luck

In an Ramsy F Word stylee

1. Side panels, off.
