| how to......fit aftermarket end/race can here we go a quick (and i mean quick) guide remove old one and put on new one! please, please, please make sure the exhaust system is cold before you work on it! ![]() standard zx6r g1 exhaust is mounted to the standard link pipe by 3 bolts. ![]() undo the 3 bolts, some bikes have a clamp to slacken and others have 4 bolt flanges ![]() and a top mount usually attached to pillion peg undo and.... ![]() remove, wrap it up and put it in a safe place for mot time (if you've got a loud can to put on) now is a good time to see how loud your bike is, caution flames will come out of the end!!! ![]() fit new can, remember to use new gasket (if required) and thread lock/nylocs to ensure nothing falls off ![]() make sure all fittings are correctly tightened. ![]() start your bike and wonder at how swish you are ![]() please note some bike require a link pipe but this is also an easy bolt on replacement. |
