Re: 50cc moped

will do tomorrow mate to hard to take pics in dark now , vacume pipe dont go to the carb , as there is a mount where it goes , and its by the fuel pump , so i can surely say that it deffinatly goes to the fuel pump the vacumme pipe , and that pipe pushes rather than sucks ( feel like it any how)

Re: 50cc moped

what year is your bali?
some models do have a fuel pump to prime the carb, if yours has said pump then as carb empty you'll need charged battery to allow carb to be primed.
alterative check;
get length of pipe put funnel in end attatch to fuel pipe into carb and top up, tape it or strap it to bike and kick it over,(this means fuel direct to carb, no tank/pump/tap to worry about) if bike starts after a couple of kick then it's deffo a carb/vacuum tap/pump prob, if you already know this carb works it could just be needs priming.
good luck and some pics will help.

i've got corner speed, it's control i struggle with!

Re: 50cc moped

that's not a fuel pump it's just a vacuum tap, so if no fuel i would say you need to suspect the vacuum tap???
syphon some fuel back out of the tank, careful not to swallow (please note jonnywombat hehe) and use that.

Re: 50cc moped

leave off the fuel pipe that goes to the carb and suck on the vacuum pipe (you wont get any fuel if you suck the right one) when you suck you should get fuel flowing from the vacuum tap, if not ,tap seized up either replace or strip and clean. usually the vacuum from the engine opens this tap, just check you've got it connected to the right place??

Re: 50cc moped

only pipe which appears to be the vacuum pipe , has a slight " pushy air " feel to it like an air compressor would on low power , and that's connected to the bottom of the vacuum tap

so not to sure which one i need to suck , as there's no pipe that appears to suck , but only blow ....
