Re: Garage - water in the engine?

how long have you had the bike/how many miles did you do before it seized?
- water may have got in before you bought it?

Re: Garage - water in the engine?

I did about 1,300 kilometres. I did drive i some very very severe rain. (Ones that actually caused floods.)

Re: Garage - water in the engine?

Rob, How much water are we talking about?

A tiny amount? Could be caused by condensation (or come in with the fuel??? but would run rough as a ....)

If it's a large amount and your bike has never been actually submerged in water then I suspect someone has possibly poured it in through the oil filler cap.

Only one "mate" took the cap off, and that was a week before anything happened.

Re: Garage - water in the engine?

To be honest my mum asked the garage to tell me how to do it.

Kinda of embarrassing (i was embarrassed at the time) but it had to be done.

3 days until theory + bike.
