Re: To screw or not to screw???

Agree with Rerb......i have one under my seat, as you never know.
There must be a bike shop or accessory shop nr you....15-20 quid for a plug kit.

Re: To screw or not to screw???

I'm gonna have to get a plug kit regardless so I've ordered one

But now the bloody thing is driving me nut!! When Andy, (Reborn), and I put the bike away last night there was just 20lb of pressure in it. This morning that was down to 10lb.

I've just taken the wife to work in the car <spits> feeling green with envy at all the bikers out there on their bikes <spits, spits and tripple spits> and I pumped up the tyre to about 40lb before my foot pump gave out.

I've come back an hour and 20 mins later and it's lost only 2lb or 3lb so I'm hoping I've slowed the puncture enough to at least get it to the tyre spot for a repair to be carried out.

Re: To screw or not to screw???

You don't need a paddock stand or centre stand.. just a bit of improvisation skills...

See below

Sure you must have stuff lying about that you can use to lift bike up

Re: To screw or not to screw???

I really do like that jonnywombat, it's brilliant mate

I've ordered a pair of paddock stands, (a back and a front), for £42 + P&P as well as a punture repair kit.

What ya betting once I have them I'll never have to use them? Sods law eh? lol

I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me:

Here's my puncture hole:

Now should they be able to fix this or is it a new tyre??

Re: To screw or not to screw???

You can get a tyre plugged anywhere between these two lines.

Re: To screw or not to screw???

So does the puncture I have fall within those lines on my tyre Rerb?

It looks to me like it does.
