Re: How to clean your helmet the easy way Would love to reply with witty repartee, but I'm afraid I'm still sniggering at the back with the others, sorry about that chaps. Anyway, like the old saying goes, "its mine Mum, and I'll wash it as fast as I like". Rawplug

Re: How to clean your helmet the easy way emergency method, as practised last saturday night on the way home, ride along just after dusk, travel thru wooded area, emerge other side with a least a million flies on me visor, add poorly aligned headlight (fixed now) pull over at nearest lit spot, take of jacket dampen (spit) visor and rub with t-shirt, offer to do the same to mates lids (only one took me up on it, the other carried on not being able to see). continue with renewed vision ![]()

Re: How to clean your helmet the easy way When at home and stuff is to hand, then it's the spray household window cleaner. Acceptable on the visor, as well as the helmet shell. When away from home have successfully used ordinary hand soap in service areas, or soap that's carried (sidecars do have their uses, pal). Lather up the hands, wipe over the mucky helmet bits, then wash off with water. ![]() Obviously, any signs of metal shrapnel, that might cause damage, residing in your palms needs removing, but that's another story.
