Exclamation Rocket 111 Pipes

Hi,

Just fitted off road pipes to my Rocket but still not happy with the growl. Its better, but I am after a bit more noise. Don't want to upset the neighbours too much so I thought I might remove the baffle from one pipe and see how it goes. Not sure if it will upset the mapping for the bile though, any thoughts welcome?? Also will it bugger the bike in any way?

Re: Rocket 111 Pipes

yes removing one baffle will bugger up your mapping, the fi can adjust within a certain range but you'll end up with one cylinder running weaker than the other two, i'd say one out, all out

i've got corner speed, it's control i struggle with!

You could take gaviscon for that.

By the way, I once took the baffles out on my firestorm, it ran like crap. Loads of noise, but flat as a witches tit with no bottom end power whatsoever

Re: Rocket 111 Pipes

We saw a Rocket with straight through pipes in Scotland during our rideout, it sounded bloody great.........

Re: Rocket 111 Pipes

I run with the cat bypass and Triumph off road pipes believe me they are LOUD!.... I have the 05 (SE) R111 yellow flame... I was also the Vice Pres of the R3OC (UK) before I moved out to France so if you want some contacts PM me

If you are after a different look too you should try New Triumph Rocket III Parts and Accessories @ newr3.com they have a great selection and with the doller being so low at present there are some good bargains.

Remember as you switch pipes and remove the cats you should be changing the fuel map so why not get a TuneBoy too and then you can really release all that power

let me know how you get on...
