Re: zx6r undertray fitting help!!

I fitted a powerbronze one to my firestorm, yep, you have to cut a hell of a lot of undertray to make them fit (or at least I did) but I did gain a load of stashing space.best advice would be to get hold of a 2nd hand undertray from a breakers, even one from a bike thats damaged, or had an undertray fitted before would be worth it.

Re: zx6r undertray fitting help!!

mine goes from battery box all the way to rear mudguard in one piece, so taking the whole thing out can't really be done. think i might hang fire until i get a 2nd one as a spare.

Re: zx6r undertray fitting help!! fitted it!

oh yes, that involved some cutting, a bit more cutting and then some cutting.
had to remove rear then front seat, number plate, indicators, grab handles, rear seat lock, battery, rear bodywork/tail piece.
then remove standard mudguard assembly, place undertray on original and cut all excess off, carefully, small amount at a time just in case.
here's some pics.

there you go, easy (erm don't do it unless your sure, there's no goin back once you cut the original)
