Now that's true!

When I was shopping around for a bike and happened across my Triumph I spotted one just like it at the Triumph dealers in York, they wanted £2,800 for a 1997 Sprint with 54,000 on the clock.

Mines a 1999 and had only 17,500 on the clock, I paid £2,000 for it.

I asked them how much to balance up the carbs on it, I was told 3 hours labour (that's for Deno ), at £54+ VAT, Dynobike in Malton did it for £35 including the VAT.

Some dealers are right merchants with the prices they'll charge.

About £130 to £150 is about right at the dealer garage.

bah

nowt is never easy...............during the service the guy found one of the spark plug rods has seized so he cant get it off which isnt a huge problem at the moment but when its next service is due the plugs get changed and hes gonna have to take the top of the engine off so he can cut it off

decided im just gonna bite the bullet and pay the £70 to get it done when i get the mot done in march....here i thought things were easy

Re: not really a problem but....

thats what i thought sam...

apparently instead of having normal slip on/off ht cables...its like a thin rod goes down the middle of the cable, out the end onto the spark plug then the top screws on to the engine casing

my descitption prolly isnt the best and no doubt it will have some fancy name hehe
