| Economy Issue CG according to internet = 100mpg My CG = 75~mpg. Which is a bit annoying, but don't know why. However, it is a lot louder and a lot faster than before. (When i mean a lot faster, i mean i can put it in 3rd gear and take off from a stop, it only has 4 gears to start with...) And i ain't exactly racing it either, i am going through town in 3rd/4th most of the time, and i have not exceeded 50mph (due to engine rebuild). Ive done 200miles on 12 litres of fuel. Any idea why it is so bad? It is amazing, because it sounds awesome too, i have not tested out the full power of it yet, but i accidently dumped clutch between 3rd and 4th yesterday and it popped up (i was only doing 30mph) (wheelie), not entirely sure if that is a good or a bad thing. Nobody posted a figure under that. It misfires sometimes though, could that be something to do with it? Rob | |

| Re: Economy Issue You know when they rebuilt the engine Rob, did they also balance up the carb(s)? If the mis-fire is a sort of "pop, pop" type then that's a fuel issue. If it's a "skipping a beat" miss, I'd suggest the most likely cause is electrical. When does it miss? When it's cold? When it's hot? When it's ticking over or when it's running under load? |

Get it back into the shop who did the rebuild, stand over them while they have a look, check the timing, (that could be ever so slightly out), and the carb balance to make sure that's all OK. | |
