sticky throttle grip

this started when i fitted my heated grips, so i took the grip off and cleaned everything i could see,but it was still a bit slow to return, i then took the bracket that houses the cables off, cleaned it and oiled the cablesthe plastic inset between the grip and the handlebars now moves freely and the cables are sliding and returning as they should, but when i refit the cable housing and screw it together the throttle get stiff again, im going to take it apart again and double check everything is as it should be, while im doing that ,does anyone have any other suggestions?

Re: sticky throttle grip

HI Sam, when I fitted my heated grips the throttle was stiff and I had to pare a bit off the end of the new grip so it didn't bind. It was the same on my CBR6F too.

i think that may have been part of the problem,

i have it freed off now, and will have to trim the grip before i refit it

Re: sticky throttle grip

That is why I had to move my switches 5mm up the bars, to give clearance on the bar ends.
