Ben McConnachie - Young British Prospect

I am currently in discussions with Gary Dawson the team manager of Replicast UK racing to sponsor and promote a young rider, Ben McConnachie in the UK 125 GP Championship.

I have been following this young racers progress for over 12 months now, ever since the Biker Cafe was approached to promote him. He has since moved to the Replicast team and Gary Dawson contacted me to see if I would continue with the articles.

I have suggested that the Biker Forum "adopts" Ben as our resident racer with a view to raising funds for him to help with his campaign.

This will do two things for the Biker Forum;

1. Raise the profile of the forum in racing circles because the bike will be carrying our logo

2. Give us a rare opportunity to have a hand in the success of a young British racing prospect and hence drive more people to the site, this obviously is a good thing for the forum.

As yet it is still early days and I don't know exactly what we will get back in return for our efforts but the likelihood is that there will be spin offs from the BSB series, i.e. passes, merchandise etc.

Pictured below are the latest images of Ben in action at Mallory together with a link to the latest report where you can also read a little bit more about him.

I would also like some feedback on this and a few ideas for fundraising please

We'll have to see about getting a rideout to some of his races...lots of support and a big flag, that sort of thing!

Excellent Spree. You do move in high circles don't ya! As for fund raising, how about sponsored ride from John o Groats to Lands End on Honda 90's? That would be erm fun!

Or a forum calendar....you men could be featured and us girls will decide who matches each month. What a good idea of mine (I think)!

I am currently looking at prices for producing biker forum stickers in two sizes. One size for your bikes and the other size for your helmets, visors, screens etc. Once all the costs have been met then the rest of the proceeds can go into the fund for Ben.

I am also looking at prices for biker forum key fobs to do the same.

The calendar idea would be a cracker if you ladies like horror pictures

Any other ideas would be appreciated

	I read that smoking weed destroys your brain cells - so I gave up reading Why not try out our other sites? The Biker Cafe and Bikerholic
