Photobucket upload system

I have just added a script that allows you to upload and manage your photobucket account direct from the forum. This will also allow you to insert images into your posts without leaving the page.

Obviously you need a Photobucket account to be able to do this so go here to sign up for one. Its free and in my opinion, one of the better online photo albums speedwise.

To use the system just scroll down and you should see a link named "show the upload form" in the "additional options" section. You can also browse your account for images within this.

If anyone has problems with it then please post in this thread and I will do my best to help

Re: Photobucket upload system

That would explain why every time I navigate to a new page (even if in the same tab) firefox offers to fill in my password, (i use sxipper extension to manage my passwords)...

For me it's lots of extra clicking just to navigate the forum.. and to only save 2 clicks.. one to open photo bucket in a new tab, and one to log-in...

TBH IMHO this is quite annoying and more trouble than it's worth

I used copy and paste into insert image, it is late

I can see this being useful.

Not sure what you mean Jonny. I don't have a problem with the password thing as unless I clear my cache I log right in on entering the site. The Photobucket link is right there in the new post/edit section and it remembered my password for photobucket Ok. Granted it doesn't save a huge amount of time, but it does make inserting images a lot easier as you don't have to leave the page at all .

You don't even have to use the insert image button Rerb. Just copy the link shown and paste it - works just the same

Re: Photobucket upload system

Every time I navigate to a new page then i get the firefox sxipper password manager pop up offering to log me into photo bucket... So every time I visit a new page i have to click on this pop up to close it, or be forced to log into a site I don't want to... it's a right pain in the arse either way.

Re: Photobucket upload system

yeah, but I'm guessing anyone who uses a password manager will have the same issue..and disabling it once logged in is still more clicks than the old behaviour..

Re: Photobucket upload system

they have just up-graded as I've just found out, and are asking members to update their passwords jonny

also, if you don't log out, the next time you go, your right into your account - no login

Not related to the issue I'm having.. it is a incompatibly between at least on password manager and the new script spree has added...

Guess I'm stuck with disabling password manager for now.
