Non posting members

I am going to do some pruning of members this week. The forum stats are a joke, i.e. 87 members with 17 active. This forum was intended to be a community of sorts but it turns out that we have 70 registered lurkers.

You do not have to be registered to read this forum and those stats might give prospective members a false impression that this is a very busy board, when the reality is that it is being held together by just a handful of members.

I am not in the fortunate position that I can throw money at any and all projects. I am not prepared to allow this sort of sham to continue, so anyone that has registered but never posted will be banned for a week. This will give you ample time to make contact via the correct channels with some sort of reason as to why you wish to remain a member of the Biker Forum. If I don't hear from any of those members then their accounts will be deleted. I am not into collecting registered members just for the sake of it, so anyone reading this has no more excuses.

If any members wishes to comment on this post then please do so, I would be more than interested to read your comments.

Remember guys - I may have funded this forum but it has always been run by its membership and any suggestions or requests have been dealt with or taken up and will continue to do so.

I apologise to all active members but this is something I feel I have to deal with. I have also made inquiries about transferring the license for the forum to another site that may be made more use of and this has been agreed. If things don't improve by the new year then I will close the forum and put my money to better use.

The above mentioned bans are to be actioned right now.

maybe they are a wee bit shy and just need a kick up the rear end to get them posting

..would it be possible to email the non posting members to see if they are interested in using the forum before deleting their accounts?

The forum has a system that emails non posting members on a regular basis Sam and has been in place now for quite a while.

was slightly startled when I logged in this evening and saw - 2 members and 14 guests

I think that most of them were spam bots trying to find a way in - but failing

	I read that smoking weed destroys your brain cells - so I gave up reading Why not try out our other sites? The Biker Cafe and Bikerholic
