am i depressed i sleep far too much and cant be bothered doing anything, even things i really enjoy like fishing and being on the bike seem like to much trouble . i just dont have any motivation to get off my arse and do anything, i've been like this for a few months now and its getting worse,i should have been to the fuel protest run today and i did want to go,the rain even went off when i should have been leaving, but none of it made any difference, on the bright side i have only had about 20 smokes since last thursday.![]() ........................Sam

Re: am i depressed Sam, I have the same problem from time to time, just cant be arsed to move off my fat arse. It's usually down to my crap (ish) diet and a lack of vitamin B. After a few days to see if it's fatigue or just cant be arsed'ness, I take a couple of vit B's a day for a couple of days and Im back to being able to stay awake till bedtime.

Re: am i depressed Hmmmm....may just be cigarette withdrawal Sam? Maybe give it a bit longer. If you're thinking depression: Are you sleeping during the day but sleepless or restless at night? Has your eating pattern changed? Do you feel low or tearful for no apparent reason? Have there been any precipitant events to this? Can you get enjoyment from anything that you normally would? Are you still socialising or are you preferring to be alone much more than you normally would? If alot of the above applies then maybe your mood is a bit low. Often this passes spontaneously but if not perhaps pop along to the GP. Whilst your there I'd ask for a full once over physically. Tiredness and lethargy can often be the result of something lacking in your system and nothing to do with depression so I'd get yourself checked out if it doesn't improve. Hope this helps mate. ![]()

Re: am i depressed For once I am actually being serious (in my capacity as a mental health type nurse! Usually children and adolescents but there's not alot of difference when it comes to depression)) So I shall not let you lower my serious intentions mr! Although I am happy to carry out a thorough once over should Sam request it and if it'll help). I'm too professional for my own good me.

Re: am i depressed May be the results from all those test Sam's not long since had might show up something lacking? Have you got your results yet Sam?
