Most Famous Person/People you've met...

Ok, following on from Scudnut's Bobby Davro thread - here's a new one:

Who is the most famous person/people you've met and what did you think of them? Here are mine:

1) Played pavement football in the street with Brian Clough back in the late 70's for a few minutes - great guy

2) Went to school and played in the same team as Andy Cole - horrible guy to know - good footballer even back them - we used to play 10-1 formation with him up front by himself (the way he liked it!)

3) Met Ian Rush on holiday in Turkey - told him he was poor for Juventus but good at Liverpool - nice guy

4) Jo Winklehock - showed me how to do laps round Donnington in a BTCC spec BMW318is - nice guy

that's all i can remember

Honda CBR 600RR and proud!!

Re: Most Famous Person/People you've met...

For me....

Brian Jacks - did a summer-school judo course with him when he was at the height of his 'Superstars' coolness.

George Best - picked him up from LHR T1 when I was working as a chauffeur in 1998. Tw@t.

Matt Le Tissier - bumped into him in Loch Fyne seafood restaurant in Poole last year.

Neil Adams (judo again) and Sharron Davies - I met them at the British Open Judo Championships in about 1982 when I was just a sprog. Got their autographs, and Neil Adams spent ages chatting with me about technique and practising. Both really nice people.

Suzanne Mizzi - aparently I danced with (and kissed) Miss Mizzi at a club in Crawley in 1996. But as I didn't recognise her, and when I was told who she was had never heard of her, I'm not sure it counts!

Re: Most Famous Person/People you've met...

Met quite a few celebs a while ago. My wife used to work for the Company that developed the Albert Dock in Liverpool so managed to blag passes all the time. The best one was probably getting shit faced on Grolsch with Status Quo after filming "Rock around the Dock", a music program for Granada TV.

We all got sozzled and they spent most of the night taking the piss out of Michael Le Vell, (Kevin Webster from corrie).

Also met and had a drink with Brian Ferry in the Midland Hotel years ago just after Roxy Music split up the first time.

Re: Most Famous Person/People you've met...

Nearly forgot this one, I met Barry Sheene during the John Player Transatlantic series in the early 80's (I think?). I was walking round the paddocks and he cadged a fag off me and chatted while he smoked it. Then he cadged another one for later

Mind you from what I have read about him, he did this sort of thing with loads of people

I was too starstruck to get a pic or autograph - what a dick
