Question Digital speedo

I'm in a spot of bother if anybody could help me please the speedo on my bike seems to be well out i went out a couple of times with a mate to test it the aprilia. I'm looking to just stick a small digi clock on the bike rist watch size as a replacement and don't know of a dealer ebay have a few but are to big i guess. Are these common faults with the rs125 if so how would i go about it?

Sorry I forgot to mention it's an aprilia rs125 2001

Thanks

Dave

Re: Digital speedo

I know it's stating the obvious, but just need to check...

You sure the clock is Mph and not Kph?

If it is one and your reading it as the other.......... I know silly idea but just had to make sure, I HAVE heard sillier

Re: Digital speedo

From what i noticed it was around 10mph out according to the clock. I'm quite sure i'm reading mph. Anyway i don't have a bike at the moment i broke down and lost all my gears i was slowing down and dropping my gear's and all of a sudden i heard a big bang on second and i pulled over to look the bike started knocking i pulled away with only second gear knocking the rest were fine.

Upon stopping in b&q 2 minutes from where i had the problem the gears would not change only N and first were working so i rode it into a garage and await the damage report now

Worst thing is i have had a nice sunny day so far for once and it seems to be sticking my norfolk ride is out
