DAS nearly finished....

Well I have spent the last two days riding a GS 500 around the test routes of the local test center, all is going well and I have not fluffed a U-Turn yet! one slight skid of the back wheel on one emergency stop seems to be the worst of it.

My test is a week on Teusday, I will hopefully be boring you all to tears with my practical test exploits as I bask in the glow of a full big bike liceence...

A boring post I know, but I had to tell!

Any amusing test stories out there?

Richard

I'll be in the same boat in a few weeks time - I'm already nervous as hell! Haven't even done the theory test yet which I'm dreading just as much I think. Good luck fella

Re: DAS nearly finished....

Good to know I'm not on my tod!

Don't frett the theory test, I had the cd rom for a week before the test and it helped a great deal and the folks at the test center in Coventry were really nice which helped.

The hazard perception was ok too, I was more worried about that than the 50 questions but both wre ok in the end, if you put a little time in a week or two before you wil be just fine.

Kep me posted!

Richard

Re: DAS nearly finished....

HI Mate, i did exactly the same thing - rode around the test area to get an idea of roads and junctions. It deffo helped.

The only story from my test is a boring one - the examiner sends you around the block to do your emeergency stop.

I did about 3 practise stops on the parallel street!! Remember to check both shoulders after the stop.

Oh yeh and it was the windiest rainiest day for the last 30 years

Re: DAS nearly finished....

Oh yeh, one more tip....

Make sure you STOP at a RED hexagonal STOP sign - even if the road is clear.

Put one foot down - check both ways - then go....
