Where about's are you? You're only down the road from me in Cleveland. Maybe we could have a little ride out, get your practice up? If you want a partner for some gentle practice rides give me a shout.

Re: Advice please

Thanks bill I have looked at the CBF as I'm limited with the seating position it's got to be a sitty up bike also looked at the fazer, lowest I could manage would be zzr600 but think that's pushing it a little (I've got wear and tear on my neck) so sports is out of the question, main reason I'm doing my test is to get of the back of my partner it's playing havoc with my neck but I don't want to miss out on the fun

Hiya lady C I live in Ingleby Barwick now used to live near Bishop Auckland but work in Sedgefield so I'm backwards and forwards all the time. Cheers for that I'll take you up on it if I ever pass my test could do with some confidence boosting when I pass don't wanna be following him all the time when It was embarrassing enough doing the Helmsley run on a 125 I hired, he's got a zzr1400 but it was pretty cool when I was undertaking him (Only when he let me of course

Re: Advice please

Hiya Deano not part of the yorkshire Dragoon I'm afraid we both work really queer shifts so it's usually just him and me and whatever road takes our fancy on the rare chance that we're off on a weekend we generally have a ride out with some pals from Hartlepool we ventured up to Scotland Bank holiday monday past kielder water and into Dumfries then back down Alston Hartside weather was great and the roads pretty clear Also go to Lord Stone's in Carlton in Cleveland on a Tuesday for tea cheap night for bikers on a Tuesday definately worth a ride up there. Yorkshire Dragoon Raindancers meet every second Monday of the month 8pm according to their web site

thanks heavenlees, it was just an informal biker meeting place 30 years ago - nuffin organised then.

for Lady C :-

A19 (4 ish miles past middlesbrough) - off @ A174 parkway towards Redcar - off @ Acklam sign - turn left @ 1st junction - turn right @ roundabout - yorkshire dragoon on left about 2 miles up road. (maybe 3 1/2 miles total from A19 /A174 turn off

Hi Heavenless
Similar position to you
35 years old always wanted to ride a bike & took the plunge last year.
Did my CBT & DAS last year.
Failed my test on the 500 and decided to buy a 125, ride around on that & take my restricted test.
It all 'clicked' when I began to relax, my shoulders dropped and it began to become more enjoyment than effort.
