I doubt it papasmurf and as you can see, I'm not alone in that line of thinking. I wouldn't get on anything I don't like the look of regardless of 'missing a good ride'. So what is the definition of a 'good ride'? Ask 100 people and you'll get 100 different answers. As said before, it's a matter of personal preference or do you want to argue with that too?

If someone just buys a bike on what it looks like, they may end up VERY dissappointed. (I know someone who bought £23000 of MV Augusta last year and has recently sold it because it turned out to be a right cow to use on local roads.)

I think your deliberately misinterpreting what I'm saying. 4 easy steps : 1) Find a bike you like the look of. 2) Research it / find riders reviews. 3) Test ride it well ............ then onto step 4 or back to step 1. 4) Buy it! not rocket science is it!

| Re: Cruiser or sports? No, just pointing if you want to be able to travel long distances on a bike it has to be comfortable, this does not mean the bike will look like a work of art. (We used to do some long distances with the CX500 Custom but in deference to its age we now just use it for local trips.) |

| Re: Cruiser or sports? So I'll count my good judgment (you might say 'luck') on my choice of ride, following my own steps 1 - 4 I got the best of both worlds ![]() |
