| charging the battery (one for the techncians) Hi guys, last question on oiling the chain had really helpful replies so thanks everyone & I now have scott oiler fitted on my Honda XL125V. Only problem is half an hour after picking it up from garage having had it fitted engine dies whilst idling. Call out RAC & battery is not charging. Seems a bit of a coincidence given that I've had no probs since I bought it 6 weeks ago. Could the two things be related? May be a really geeky question but I know naff all about car engines and am determined to understand a bit more about bike engines. May be I'll knwo enough to help some other new biker in a few years time. Cheers. Adrian |

| Re: charging the battery (one for the techncians) the scottoiler doesnt require and electrical input so i doubt if it has anything to do with the battery going flat, you will need to check all the electrical connection at the battery and rectifier to start with, after that...well someone else who knows better than me will suggest other stuff ![]() .........................Sam |
