| What is a 'Steering Damper'? It's to do with slow speed riding from what I can gather but what is a Steering Damper and what does it look like? |

| Re: What is a 'Steering Damper'? It is a mini shock absorber, which is connected normally between the frame and the yolks (the bits the handlebars and forks are bolted too).. They are not really required for road riding except for some exceptionally poor bikes whose suspension and geometry and a rearward weight distribution means they are prone to tank slappers. | Re: What is a 'Steering Damper'? Thanks jonny, I think I've got it now sorta! been looking in here motorcycle steering damper - Google Image Search and theres a ducati with one under the tank but the rest are near the bars hmmm |
