What's a 'Bar end weight'?

I know...............I know .................. but peeps keep asking questions about these things and I aint a clue what they are on about! ...................... so about a bar end weight, what is it, what does it do and what does it look like?

They are big lumps of metal.. weights if you will, which fit in the end of the handle bars...

This helps reduce vibration of the handlebar, by increasing it's mass. As force = mass x acceloration in this case the force is constant so hence by increasing mass the acceloration is reduced...

Most bikes have some sort of bar end weight fitted as standard nowadays, so go have a look
