There was a thread in the forums about this, but not sure where now - check to see if they cover you in the event of an accident, also what sort of experience they have of Bikes and what they use to transport them - wouldnt want my baby just strapped to the back of a 7.5tonne transporter

Had an interesting conversation with the AA man tonight who phoned to remind me my breakdown cover was due for renewal.

After I told him that I was going to surf the net because I'm not going to pay the £50 for renewal when they are advertising on the net at £40.

Then after he pointed out that it's me thats covered in any vehicle I'm traveling in, I asked if that includes motorbikes too and he said yes, motorbikes are included at no extra cost!!

Anyway, I wouldn't commit coz I'm going to search the web (I told him ) and he said he would phone back later in the week and would match any cheaper quote I got provided it was for the same cover!!

Can't find any for 2/6d yet though

Re: Tool Roll

when he phones back, tell him that the call is being recorded (and do it if you can) for legal purposes, get him to say what his name is, etc., just as they always do to us and then ask him if they will recover you and your bike if it is unrideable due to a accident.

Be interesting to see what he has to say ..........

Re: Tool Roll

Just on way out to work - was on early shifts this week, but now finished till next week Woo Hoo

I asked green flag about recovery following an accident and heres the reply I got

"Dear Mr

Thank you for your email.

With regards to your question : Breakdown – also including recovery should we be involved in an accident, regardless of who is at fault.

As per our terms and conditions we class an incident as immobilisation of the vehicle as a result of a breakdown, fire, theft , malicious damage, accidental damage (but not a road traffic accident), flat battery, lack of fuel, flat tyre, loss or breakage of vehicle keys, occurring within the UK during the period of cover.

I would advise that assistance following a road traffic accident should be provide by your Insurance Company.

Kind Regards

Amanda Taylor

Green Flag Motoring Assistance"

Ive posted this elsewhere, but its just something to think about
