Exclamation Tool Roll

Ok, suppose there are no tools at all on the bike.

What tools would I need to put in my empty tool roll for emergency repairs etc.

I would appreciate all answers in plain English so I can understand please

Very tricky one GB, If you can tell me what type of breakdown you're going to have.
Standard tool kits are as they sound very standard, if you have a tool roll fill it with tools to fit every bolt, pin, screw the bike has( it'll have to be massive).

No matter what you put in there I guarantee when you're stuck the relevant tool is missing.

Sparking plug(s), plug spanner and any tools necessary to remove the bits to access the plug(s). Small can of WD40 or similar. Puncture repair oufit.
Some Hooligan Handcuffs (plastic wire ties.)
Fuses if the bike does not have spares in place in the fuse box.
Spare bulbs.

Hi Grotbag the first time i read this i thought it said Loo Roll..Doh.. Anyway its not a bad idea to pack one of these, specially after that curry the night before.

A bog roll is part of the essential kit for rallies:- Bog roll, wet wipes, talcum powder.

Breakdown card (of a reputable company who knows how to deal with bikes )
Choccy bar
Bin liners and insulation tape (for when you forget your waterproofs )

Good thinking Bill, my AA runs out soon on the cage so I'm gonna see if I can get a dual breakdown cover! You know any companies that do this?


insulation tape ......... hmmmm ......... well I always have a good supply of gaffer tape (dont ask!)

i have personal cover with the RAC, it covers the bike and car and any vehicle im a passenger in.
