| Hi all, Its been a while since I posted here (have been lurking a little bit). After a 5 day DAS course I passed my unrestricted license yesterday ![]() Was aching every night after getting home! Sunday - had a ride out on a 125 in gale force winds to get used to the bike after doing CBT a few weeks ago.Monday/Tuesday - more 125 riding and lots of slow control. Got the u-turn sorted. Wednesday - first day of 500 and was absolutely rubbish at slow control. Got very nervous at this point. Out on the road was fine though. Thursday AM - 500 again. Lots of practice at u-turns, got slightly better - about 80% were successful! Thursday PM - test was at 2:45. Started p*&*ing down at 2:40! Got to the test centre and the usual examiner was off sick so they bought in the head examiner from Rotherham - seemed like a very nice guy. About 10mins in to the test he ask me to pull over on the Leeds ring road. Had no idea if I could just stop anywhere but manage to find the smallest access road to sneek into, then he asked me to carry on. Thought I had failed from this which prob helped me relax a bit. Did the u-turn and controlled stop perfectly in the pouring rain. Got back to the test centre, he asked me a couple of questions about pillion passengers/bike maintanance etc then told me I had passed! Phew, what a relief!Going to look at a hayabusa at the weekend (not really - I wannt to get a cbr600f if I can find one).Sorry for the length of the post - you can probably guess how happy I am! |
