Re: Mid-life Crisis?

Hi slap. I used to have an FX, and it was a very quick, very reliable old workhorse. You can't go wrong with 'em as long as they've been serviced regularly.

Re: Mid-life Crisis?

Hi Slap, welcome to the forum - good luck on CBT and DAS. Just pay attention and take yer time.

You cannot go wrong with a Honda 600 - just make sure you don't buy a nail. There's quite a few about so you can afford to be choosy.

Honda CBR 600RR and proud!!

Re: Mid-life Crisis?

Hope you pass the test. My son is 17 at the end of august and is doing the same thing - 3 or 4 days of intensive lessons and tests. He is looking at a suzuki SV 650 with a restrictor. He also fancies the Honda 600f and has seen some good ones bu they tend to be more than the equiv Suzuki. I jumped back in after 26 years in cars with a Suzuki GSXR750 which is great and has more power and handling than I will ever use or need

Re: Mid-life Crisis?

Welcome to the site and to bikes in general. The CBR600F does tick most boxes and is very forgiving as well as a confidence booster. I had one from new but after a while decided it was physically too small for me so graduated to a Blackbird. I would recommend doing Bikesafe after your test and when you have got used to riding go for the IAM test. It is a good course and you will find your insurance costs are reduced considerably. Good luck with your tests!
