| Re: Noobie question about starting a bike... Don't know if they are all the same but when my caps off you can see straight inside the tank and you can watch it filling up. I dont know if you get the auto stop because I stop when it looks full enough ![]() |

| Re: Noobie question about starting a bike... and on the subject fo filling up - I always hold my glove under the nozzle from the pump to filler cap, to catch any petrol drips. Much rather have petrol on my glove sthan on my paintwork .... or worse on very hot exhaust pipes ![]() |

![]() I always fill up sitting on the bike as its a small tank and I want to fill it up as much as possible. You won't overfill if you're careful and go slowly. It takes practice to not be wobble (you need to get near enough to the pump to be able to reach to put the cap on there whilst sitting on the bike) and it seems a bit fiddly at first but it's fine after the first few times. And ALWAYS look for diesel on the floor at the pump; I've heard many a tale of people pulling up, putting their foot down and slipping on the floor resulting in an undignified dropping incident. Sound fraught with difficulty doesn't it but it's a piece of cake really. ![]()

..... when I filled up this morning the roads {and forecout} were soaking and you could see the diesel slick all across it and on the exit out of there . I road very slowly and carefully after filling up and for the next couple of miles, but all was ok ![]()

| Re: Noobie question about starting a bike... I'm nervous about going over diesel for the first time on the roads, it sounds very very dangerous!! It's been fun on the bike though, loving every minute on it! everything seems to be coming together well :-) Andy |
