Das I went ahead and booked it my direct access cost a bomb but i think the end result will be worth it. I'm a little nervious about the big bike alot of different people have told me different things with all the advice it all seems one big horror story i guess i felt the same at the cbt being that period of time the first riding a bike now i love it and i am quite confident with a 125 all good so far. Could any of you bigger bike rider's please share your experience upon being introduced to a big bike for the first time. What are the key differences i will first notice and what is so different besides the power and weight . Cheers Dave Last edited by Dave321 : 07-22-2008 at 08:04 PM.

Re: Das TBH Dave, I find the bigger bikes a lot easier to control once on the move, better brakes too and a lot less shaky ![]()

Re: Das Hi Dave, like most things - it takes getting used to it. What seemed to take alot of concentration (6 months ago) - now takes less. Things to look out for:- Initial acceleration Trickier to control at slower speeds (at first) Larger turning circle (U-turns) They need more delicate use of controls - throttle, clutch and brake.

Re: Das Hi dave, I done my cbt on a ybr125, then went on to a Bandit 600 for my DAS, I found the bandit a lot easier to ride except for the U turns, and to me the bike seemed very top heavy, I swapped over onto a GS 500, and didn't look back.

Re: Das my first bike after my test was a zxr750 h2, just remember you control bike, the bike doesnt control you. bigger bikes are heavier. but are easier to handle, well thats my experience, and its only going to go as fast as you want it to

Re: Das Speed is not what worries me it was more of the slow riding side of things and the weight being an issue i learn't that on my cbt dropping the 125 and then jumping off 3/4 into a uturn silly me i was looking at the floor. I this forum put a little bit more confidence into me and the instructor will add to it when my time comes. Last edited by Dave321 : 07-23-2008 at 09:51 PM.

Re: Das I feel the same, Ive only riden a 125. I haven't booked my DAS yet but that's the direction I am heading and worries me that the bike is too big. Went on my old mans bike and he drives a cruiser, Well what can I say HEAVY especially on a standstill so that definately got me thinking. But I will go ahead with it especially reading through these forums, (makes you feel invincable) ![]()
