New Test Date Postponed

not real - piss ups and breweries springs to mind. The added pressure i and loads of others must have felt to get the test done and dusted before they changed it ....

having said that , spoke to an instructor who was at the shieldhall , glasgow open day the other week and said the new test is actually easier than the old test!! on the u turn , you do it between two markd lines instead of out on the road and if your wheels touch the line you dont fail - whereas touch the kerb and its goodnight vienna!

The new test looks just like they have thrown a cbt in with the practical in my opinion.
I know its all about control but

I can see the benefit of being able to do a fgure of 8 and slalom on a motorcycle as with the increase in roadworks bikers obviously do this when bored being stuck in the traffic at roadworks.

I got a chinese chugger - dont laugh - its not too bad, not the quickest thing but so far so good.

Does your speedo go up when you rev the bike and does it do 5mph while standing? That one did

Somehow I really doubt an extra 6 months is going to make a lot of difference and get new test centers ready given they babbled on about bringing in this new test about a year or so ago.

I can see it being put back another 6 months when the new date draws near.

The whole idea is a farce. They don't need to improve motorcyclists skills, they need to improve the car, bus & HGV drivers skills who don't ride a bike. They need to educate or get off the road the ickle boy racers who think the road is a race track as well as the dickheads who just pull out of junctions regardless of anything coming or not.

AndyR - speedo goes ok in this one, but with the vibration off it ( i understand adult toys better now ) it like a scene fae star wars when the falcon goes into hyperspace.

They do seem a lot of fun those Chinese bikes TGHUN71, but for me they're a bit too much like a kids toy rather than a road bike.

the one i have is a copy of the en 125 suz

but it will do for now, altho tempted wi the duc s4 for sale near me just for the noise
