Trying To Book Test

Been trying to book a test online and getting no joy.

Does anyone know of the best way to get this done or if they have a cut off time for booking future tests. The closest I can get is 25 miles away in an area i'm not familiar with and in December. My local test centre just won't show any available dates.

Has anyone had any joy with cancellations and if so were they online or by phoning up.

Tried local training centres and they won't consider me unless I use their bike and book 3 days training. I want to use my bike and if I pass either use 33bhp for 2 years or do direct access in the mean time. Can't warrant spending £450 on training when I do 250 miles a week on the bike.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Nico

Re: Trying To Book Test

Try some of these Nico

How about booking a couple of lesson's with an instructor and get him/her to book you a test?

I know training school's block book test's which is may be why you can't get one until December

Re: Trying To Book Test

Booked a day lesson and test the following day on a 500. Its miles away, but not far from where I work, which is in the Shard End area of Birmingham!

Its very busy round there and I hope I don't end up freezing, because I do when riding to work.

Can anyone recommend anything to keep my hands and feet warm as clutch control is not as easy when I can't feel my hands lol.

You havent said what you wear already so .........

If you don't wear gloves then wear some.
If you already wear gloves then get some of those 'magic' gloves to wear inside them.
Try some thick or thermal socks.

Have you looked around the forums for the info you want? What underware should I buy?

Re: Trying To Book Test

also.. make sure the gloves aren't too tight as that can cause pins and needles and if its wet, get some surgical gloves for a base layer........ and thermal undies do make a difference

Re: Trying To Book Test

Currently wear full RST leathers and gloves with Oxtar boots.

I'll definately take your suggestions on board because winter riding is not something that I am used to.

Re: Trying To Book Test

I had my CBT canceled last winter because of snow, then did it just after Christmas in torrential rain, so agree with you - be prepared!
