| Re: U Turn If You Want To... Problem is, in a car they officially call it a "turn in the road" and not a U-turn cos you can simply engage reverse. I remember my car test, made me do it again as the first road was so wide i simply did a U turn....now if only the same were true on a bike, just slam that sucker in reverse and um....oh...... |

| Re: U Turn If You Want To... Found them a piece of p**s on the 125 and remember wondering - 'What's all the fuss about??' - famous last words............. Got on the 500 and couldn't do them for toffee. First four lessons I dropped the bike every time I tried to do one I think it's because there are so many things you have to try to control all at the same time. I started to get the hang of them when I stopped using the rear brake, then after a while I started using the brake again. Then I stopped looking at the kerb and started looking upwards which meant I didn't aim for the kerb - BIG IMPROVEMENT ![]() I find it easier to learn when I have less to stress about - just introducing other elements one at a time worked for me. I blame it on being a scientist, I have to think and analyse everything so the less there is to analyse and think about the more I can concentrate on what I'm doing. Hope this makes sense! ![]() |
