| Progress Update Hi Guys, I've been quiet since I first introduced myself, but have a hectic 3 weeks ahead so it's time for a progress update: Did my theory test last week, and passed, despite mixing up my hump back bridges with bumps in the road (only been driving 22 years). Hazard perception was the lottery I expected, but having done a few practice sessions, the advice I'd give to anyone else doing this is to click when you first see the hazard, and click again every time it develops, I failed my practice ones several times by spotting the hazard too early! This weekend see's my CBT. I've had a couple of sessions practicing on a cg125 now, slow speed riding and tearing round a car park getting used to the gears. One more practice on Saturday, then the CBT on Sunday. All being well I'll be hiring a 125 for a few days after that before I take my DAS the week after. All getting a bit exciting now, this was my mid life crisis birthday present from my girlfriend back in July, sods law I'll be taking my test in snow. Wish me luck, I'll give you a rundown of the CBT and test once it's happened Si |
