Passed big bike test Since the CBT, I've been having a 2-hour lessons every Saturday morning for the last 8 weeks. Must have paid off though as I passed the test yesterday with one minor (missed the road markings - DOH!). Rode down to the test centre assuming that I would get a chance to run through all the manouvres before the test, but before I knew it we were at the test centre and sitting in the waiting room !! I knew that most failures are either U-turn footdown or leaving an indicator on, and I can assure you that no way was I taking my feet of the pegs. even if the bike had fallen over, I would have still had my feet glued to them (that would have been quite a sight !!). But I composed myself and took my instructors advice "step back and slow down" before completing the U-turn easily. It really does help to look back at where you are going!!. Seriously though the key to the whole thing was "no drama" and have confidence as well as some "rescue remedy" you can buy from boots which did take the edge off a bit. Riding back from the test centre was one of the best rides I have had. I'll be a the show next week looking for my first bike. I was helped alot by the articles and experiences on this site, so thank you.

Re: Passed big bike test Hey congrats on the pass mate, well done. Is that Rescue Remedy really good then? A few people have mentioned it is good for calming the nerves. I've got my test next wednesday, is it worth getting some?

Re: Passed big bike test Congratulations on the pass mate, welcome to the fold. Perfect time of year to get a bike, there are some real bargains to be had out there, I picked up my bandit for 800 quid last month and it's perfect. Good luck with the shopping!
