| Hi all, after an intensive 3 days training, (did CBT in January) the 4th day (today) saw me take my test and pass! I did get 6 minors which I don't know how concerned to be about that, but very relieved and chuffed I passed is the end result. On a different note, I know winter is the best time to buy a bike, but wondered if I should buy now or wait until January which I had previously planned? If it makes any difference. I know exactly what bike I want, its what I think is perfect(most suited) for me. A Honda CBF600SA. I will be buying second hand, probably a 3 or 4 year old bike as my budget is around 3000. Can then replace my tired old H100S two-stroke and ride in comfort at last. ![]() Any feedback appreciated. PS. I have read indie's sticky post thing and found it very good advice for all. Ian. |

| Re: Passed test today! now have full cat. A licence! hi spinaltapper, thanks. well ay the risk of sounding stupid, i found it intensive. not in a bad way though. its just from basic cbt stuff to a few months on my own to all of these things i need to do. u-turns, shoulder checks etc etc. i dont to make it sound daunting at all, as in fact i found it all comes in to place easily with that practice. i did 4 hours a day, of which 3 and a half hours was riding. and most of all, the instructor knows its a lot to take in at first and wont expect you to get it all within 30 minutes. hope that helps mate. just relax thats very important too, being tense doesnt help as i found out. |
