Can anybody tell me the significance of flags at roadside cafes and butty bars????? I'm sure it must be important as some have more than others or am I reading too much into it?

Hi and welcome

There was a "official" email going round work a couple of years ago - it warned about dangerous cagers - these could be clearly identified by the number of St George flags attached to their car windows

possibly something along similar lines ........

hello blacksmith.. the flags are to inform the ministry of heath, how many people they poison in an average month, too many and they get shut down, if they can go a whole month and not poison anyone then they get a special certificate from the NHS and free burgers from their supplier...HTH
