Talking Hello Everyone.

Hello all,

Well I was looking around for some tips on my theory and came across this site. When I was reading couldn't believe how friendly and helpful everyone is.

Would just like to say "hi".

I have been looking around for bikes, and the Yamaha FZ6 Fazer has caught my eye, would you recommend this for a first bike or go for something different?

As you also can see that I haven't passed my test yet, just looking around for some ideas.

Nice to meet you all.

Re: Hello Everyone.

Hi and welcome to the forum,
I'm quite new here myself, and like you found the members to be very friendly.
No doubt someone will be along shortly with more experience than me who can give advice about first bikes.

Re: Hello Everyone.

Hi bps187 and welcome matey. I did my LGV theory test this morning by coincidence. I found the multiple choise a piece of cake, but the hazard perception is quite confusing. It advises you to click every time you spot a potential hazard, but then says that if you click too often, you'll get no points for that section! Funnily enough, after the test ( but before you know if you've passed ) they ask you for any comments! I wish I could have commented after knowing I'd passed, 'cos I didn't have a clue if I had or hadn't. Re the FZ6, from what I've read, the previous model Fazer 600 seemed to be better than its replacement ( I believe thay only sell 1/2 as many FZ6s compared to the Fazer 600 ) It looks like they did away with the midrange in a chase for top-end power. You need to test ride it, and as many others as possible ( CBR600F CBR600F CBR600F CBR600F CBR600F CBR600F CBR600F CBR600F CBR600F CBR600F CBR600F CBR600F or summat else )

Re: Hello Everyone.

Hi bps, seasons greetings !!

when i did my cbt it was all multiple choice as blackp said above, but a bit of extra warning, when you do the hazard perception, you have to click the mouse everytime the situation changes, not just when you see a hazard, but as BP said, dont click too many times! I know this from experience as they didnt really explain that and i failed the first one on the HP test for not clicking enough ! and then when i passed the 2nd time i made a formal complaint about the pointless question which said "youve come to an accident, and passers by are already at the scene, what should you do?" and my complaint was what did this have to do with safe riding? i understand you should drive past unless your involved (as i got the Q right) but at the end of the day its a test on safety, not what you should do when you see an already happened accident!? i know some people will say that "its safety to say you got to drive past and not get involved" but thats not riding!?

But anyways, iv rambled long enough!
hope you pass and hope iv helped

TRUST ME.......Im a Gynaecologist!

Welcome mate.

The fazers are good bikes, my old man rides one.

Re: Hello Everyone.

Hi bps and welcome to the biker forum. There are quite a few bikes out there suitable for a new rider, fazer included. My advice would be to at least get down to your local dealer and sit on a few of em to see how you fit
