Hello everyone! Hi, another newbie i'm afraid!! As the name suggests, i'm one of those pesky car people who's starting to realise that as much as i love my cars, there's a whole new world of biking to be discovered. Despite being nearly 30 i'd never had the chance to get on a bike until recently and loved it and now really want to get my licence sorted out. It was good to read another new member ask about a good bike to start with, as i too was looking at doing my DAS and getting a Honda CBR. Seems that people think that it's a good starting point overall, certainly to build confidence as i start. I've considered just getting a small bike to start, but not sure i'd want to wait while my restriction time is wasted away....i know there's always a concern with new bikers getting carried away and crashing, especially as they get older, but i can be trusted on the road (boy in blue i'm afraid, if you can drive IRV in London you can drive/ride anywhere!!) Just can't wait to get my CBT and courses sorted out now!! ![]()

Re: Hello everyone! Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy. I was the same didn't really think about bikes until I rode one. After that all I wanted to do was get on one. As you maybe aware I am new here but would say that the CBR very nice bike and seems suitable. I do like the bike but looks like it would hurt my back and wrists in the long run. So my eye is on the Fazer. That was comfortable sitting on that. Once again Welcome. ![]()

Re: Hello everyone! Greetings and welcome to the forum WRXPete ![]() Good luck with your CBT! One thing you really should remember is that your DAS course will only teach you how to pass the test, it will not make you an experienced rider!
