V-Twins and exhausts

Hi,

I've recently bought an SV650S and was looking to put a new exhaust can on it.
I've been told not to put a carbon-fibre one on. Can anyone tell me why?

Re: V-Twins and exhausts

Usually because of the power pulses but I wouldnt think an SV650 would suffer from that - welcome to the forums btw

Re: V-Twins and exhausts

My Laverda is a parallel twin and has Termignonis carbon fibre end cans as standard fitment.

They are now 10 years old and still in a1 condition.
